1.WHAT IS BUSINESS-AFRICA

Africa is a large continent and the most mis-understood one.
Many of world's important economic societies have flourished in this continent
for ages unknown.

We want to project the NEW Africa - which is vigorous and enthusiastic
to do business, learn new techniques and be part of the wider global scene.
African Economies have big challenges.
The Challenges of race, nature, systems and ideologies.

There are few areas in the continent which are troubled by unusual
civil wars and local thugs/war-lords/dictators/revolutionaries;
and there are others which may be the poorest but are proving
to be clean democratic systems like Mali.

There are many Africas:
Arabic Africa
Berber Africa
Black Africa
White Africa
French Africa
English Africa
Portuguese Africa
Swahili Africa

Rural Africa
Urban Africa
Tribal Africa
Sophisticated Africa

Wonderful Africa
Persecuted Africa
Backward Africa
Starving Africa
Rich Africa

What about Business Africa?

.......These are all myths...The modern Africa is a wonderful
continent with wonderfully talented people, like you and all of us,
with vast resources, fabulous riches and with BIG markets.

These are the last markets where the "developed" world thinks of in terms
of market.
This is a poor assessment of a vast continent with variety of colorful
economic societies.
A F R I C A - is a continent whose time has come.
We can not ignore this incredibly rich market.

There are many facts which we can give here but our mission is not to
impress you or show you any favorable analysis.... the truth
is that Africa is systematically ignored by the fast moving marketers.

This is a sheer mistake.
Africa is the continent of future - as much as its cultures are ancient.

For centuries, Africa has been mis-managed by different interest groups,
and the local interests have not been different than foreign interests who have
equally exploited Africa for their personal gains and small profits.
They have sold the countries' wealth for small commissions to reserve a suite
in a posh Swiss hospital or to send their families on fabulous shopping tours
or to simply erect palaces, when the majority of people have been
kept in dark - by force or trick.

But people can not be fooled anymore. African people have the same
rights as any other global citizen.

They are as entrepreneur as any clever businessman from Europe or Asia.
The people of Africa have waken up but their economic backwardness
is not of their making. They have been forced to be on the margins.

African origin people are a mosaic of multiple races.

AFRICA has many geo-economic areas presenting different opportunities.

Africa is undergoing one of its most challenging of times and the
change is notable and will be forthcoming out of apparent chaos.
BUT NOT all countries or areas are chaotic or economically depressed.

The world (Western) media has been totally unsuccessful in projecting
the true images of Africa , at least the positive images.

Africa needs business opportunities and proposals NOT aid.
There is a deep vacuum of economic information from Africa.
Business-Africa will try its best to fill that "gap" and
hopefully will provide enormous business opportunities it presents.

Business-Africa is an interactive forum for discussing,
exchanging, commenting on news, views, issues, opinions
on practices, customs and conducting business in Africa.

In addition it will cover issues relevant to African origin people in
different parts of the Americas -North, Central, South America, Caribbean & Europe.

Business-Africa is moderated by
Center for Global Trade Development - an independent research organization
and its publications division offers some of the most qualitative, impartial
and comprehensive customized trade information on African Markets.
